What are Rose Memberships?: Monthly Membership Tiers and Kofi Goal

Hello everyone and welcome to MysticalRoseFavours' Blog!
Today I am going to give a brief description on MysticalRoseFavours' monthly membership tiers and our Kofi goal. I will mention on what rewards you can earn as a member, what my goal is on Kofi, and how I will use your generous donations for in regards to the goal.
I will go into further detail in the next blog post in regards to what each specific membership tier offers as each tier has their own unique reward system.
On July 9, 2023 I wrote my first mini blog post on Kofi, CatherineMichelleR Website Store Now Open! where I gave a quick update on my previous website and gift shop, CatherineMichelleR.
The blog post is now of course irrelevant as I had made drastic changes to my overall brand over the past year alone, including a name change and an overall change in artwork and products that I sell now. The post, however, is a nice little time capsule into how I started to make the change with my brand and what inspired that change. It was a mix of both Kofi and Zazzle that inspired me to completely change my original gift shop ideas and, in my opinion, for the better!
What is MysticalRoseFavours' Ko-Fi goal?
Before I talk about my Kofi goal, I want to give a quick description of what Kofi is and what made me decide to use Kofi as an inspiration to change my whole brand.
Kofi is similar to Patreon, except that it's known to have a more friendly and engaging approach to supporting artists with frequent challenges and encouragement of creative engagement with your audience. Kofi offers many tools that allow you to experiment in many creative avenues, including blogging and commissions.
What really caught my interest, however, is Kofi's goal system known as 'buy me a coffee' which is a play on take on how you say Kofi, is similar to how you say coffee. While I was already going through a name change for my brand I decided to change my coffees for roses - thus I call my membership tiers Roses Members for this reason!
Meaning that Rose Memberships are inspired by Kofi's idea behind 'buy me a coffee' on Kofi where you can pay either a monthly subscription or a one-off payment to support an independent artist through donations.

What Books will be published with the Kofi Goal?
The Kofi goal will help to publish the largest project that I, Catherine Rothschild, have created to date. I wish to officially publish two books that I worked on as part of an independent project and an essay that I worked on during my Bachelor of Arts in Photography! I've wanted to publish my own books ever since I was a child, and I am extremely proud of how these books turned out! I want to include these published books as part of my portfolio to further establish myself as an artist and photographer.
FURTHER THAN SPACE - PHOTOGRAPHY BOOK
On December 2019 I took a four week trip to Auckland, New Zealand to rediscover the Kiwi part of my identity after I've been estranged from my Kiwi roots for over twenty years.
The book focuses on colourful photography including flowers, trees, food, people, cats, parks, garden displays, buildings, and home decor that captures the beauty of the New Zealand island with a casual, yet whimsical lens.
Currently, "Further Than Space" is available for purchase for Rose Members on Kofi. The book is printed by Colour Digital Print Ltd as a soft and flat glossy book with perfect binding.
AN ETHNOGRAPHIC INVESTIGATION INTO FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY - ESSAY BOOK
Throughout my second year at university, I had a choice on what short essay I wanted to write about, but the catch was that it needed to link up with my independent project. Since I was already planning my trip to Auckland to meet family that I was estranged with, I thought that I would base my essay on that.
The book focuses on family dynamics, how they are presented through photography, and how different family dynamics effect our identity and sense of self worth.
Currently, "An Investigation into Family Photography" is available for purchase for Rose Members on Kofi. The book is printed by Colour Digital Print Ltd as a soft and flat glossy book with perfect binding.
What publisher do you want to use?
Currently I am interested with using Publishing Push as my publisher although I am open to suggestion for another publisher that is more affordable if possible but I believe that Publishing Push has a wider range of options for presenting my books to the public.

What are the rewards for being a Rose Member?
Becoming a Rose Member rewards you with many unique gifts that vary not only based on the tier you choose but also on where you choose to be a member with us. For example, you can become a Rose member either on our Kofi or you can become a Rose member directly on our website! Most of the rewards are similar, but depending on where you support us, you will receive additional rewards unique to that platform.
I will discuss in further detail in the next blog post regarding the different reward systems that both Kofi and our website, Wix, offer to Rose Members.
